How We Met... Samantha and Cain first crossed paths in Denver, Colorado, in September 2021. At the time, Cain was wrapping up his first year of graduate school at the University of Denver, while Samantha was settling into her second year at a new job.

The First Date... Cain invited Samantha to a sold-out Mt. Joy concert, and to his delight, she said yes. He picked her up at her apartment that night, and from the moment they met, they both swear it was love at first sight. That concert became the start of their love story, and ever since, they’ve returned to a Mt. Joy show every year—a tradition that brings them back to where it all began.

And The Rest Was History... Samantha and Cain spent their first few years together in beautiful Colorado, exploring the Rocky Mountains and embracing every adventure. In 2023, they moved to Raleigh, North Carolina for Cain’s job and to be closer to family and friends on the East Coast. After two wonderful years in Raleigh, they decided to put down roots a little farther south in Woodstock, Georgia, where they hope to put down roots, build a life, and start their family.
